Potty Trained!!!!

I am so excited to announce that Nolan is potty trained! Yesterday I told him that he wasn't going to wear diapers anymore so we put him in big boy underwear. He had about 4 accidents in the morning and after a few talks about where pee goes he started peeing in the toilet! Today he even went #2! I'm so proud of him! I don't want to jinx anything, but so far Nolan has been really easy to train. Of course we're still working on the night training, but I'm so proud of him! Yeah for Nolan!

First Tooth!

The last few nights Eli has been waking up almost every two hours and I couldn't figure out why he was getting up. Well today I looked at his gums and noticed that Eli is cutting his first tooth already! I can't believe it. It seems like he's too young to get a tooth, but here it comes. He has another one coming right next to it. Considering he just cut a tooth he took it pretty well. Here are some other pictures of his chubs! He's so cute!

Friends!

So I'm always concerned when Nolan plays with other kids because I want him to be a nice boy and share and be polite. Of course he's a 3 year old boy so he is still learning to share and take turns, but here is a cute moment with Remi. Nolan and Remi are the cutest little friends and I love it!

Nolan is 3!

Nolan turned three this month. I can't believe it! He's getting so big. To celebrate we had a little family celebration and a friends party. Nolan loved singing happy birthday and blowing out the candles twice. Not to mention opening presents. This year's theme was Handy Manny. He's really into Manny right now. Nolan goes through extremes of liking something-or maybe it's his Dad and Grandma fueling his obsession-I haven't quite decided. First there was Thomas the Train. We now have almost every train-thanks Grandma:) Then Nolan moved onto Cars. We have every car from Radiator Springs. He still carries around the blue Chick Hicks, which he lovingly refers to as "blue". Now he's into Handy Manny. He has to know where Turner-his favorite character-is at all times. He loves to reenact scenes from the movie with all of his tools. He also loves to "fix" things around the house and talk on the phone with Manny. It's so cute. Nolan is a lot of fun. He loves to play outside and play with his Dad. Although he has his quirks he is definitely his own person who knows what he wants in life. He's a good boy and I'm so happy he's mine. I love my Nonini!

I Love My Brother

For some unknown reason Eli thinks Nolan is so funny. Sometimes Eli will just look at Nolan and start laughing. I'm so perplexed about this because if I were Eli, whenever I saw Nolan I would think "oh no, not again". Nolan loves to "play" with him, but he's so rough. He pulls his arm and makes him dance, lays on him so he can get right in his face and forces him to play with his toys. If Eli survives, he is going to be one tough little boy. I'm glad Nolan loves him, but getting him to realize he has to be a little more gentle has been a chore. Well, hopefull they'll still love each other in a few years.

Little Swimmer

The last few weekends we have been going to John's house so Nolan could go swimming. Well, he loves the "poo" and has become quite the little fish. First, he started swimming while holding onto Bobby. Then, we put him into a floatie. He loved his independence! He swam about 8 laps.

Then we put the arm floaties on and I could not believe it! He was swimming around and jumping in all by himself. He told Bobby to move out of his way because he wanted to do it by himself. It scares me because he has no fear of the water. When he jumps in he goes completely under and comes up laughing. Of course Bobby was right there, but it's still a little scary to see your almost 3 year old go completely under water...Thank goodness for Dad:)

Big Boys

So I took Eli to the doctor for his 4 month check-up and he weighs 19lb, 11oz and 26 inches long! I couldn't believe it! He's getting so big and really starting to notice the world around him. He wants to touch everything. I looked at Nolan's weight when he was 4 months and he weighed even more than Eli does! Talk about an arm workout. Carrying Eli around has really helped tone my biceps:) As you can see they both are good eaters. Nolan is going to turn 3 next month. Where did the time go? He's getting really excited for his birthday because he loves birthday cake-okay not the cake, but the frosting.
