Finally!

My sweet Eli has finally started crawling!  Yeah Eli!  He'll crawl on all fours for a little bit, but he mostly does the army crawl.  Today he started moving from the crawling position to sitting up all by himself.  I think he really likes to do it because whenever he's sitting up he looks over at me with a big smile.  Sweet boy.  He's 10 months already!  I can't believe it!  He's very curious, persistent, loving, silly, and the world's easiest baby.  He has also has 7 teeth and has started waving, both hand and arm, saying baba, dada, and mmm, and fake coughing.  I love it!  The fake cough is so great-especially during meals:)  I love you Eli!

Wimped Out

Okay, so I know I said I was gonna go private today, but I wimped out.  It's so annoying because you have to know everybody's email and all that jazz-I'm so lazy.  I did however take off the option for people to google my blog, which makes me feel a whole lot better.  My whole justification is that most people I know aren't crazy, so they must not know many crazies, right?

For the Record

Christmas List

Working on his list

Nolan is really getting into Christmas this year.  I've really been working on what Christmas is all about.  I've really been trying to explain that Christmas is Jesus' birthday, Mary is his mom, angels sang when Jesus was born and how the wisemen brought presents.  We've been looking at Nativity pictures so I could help him understand and he really likes to see baby Jesus, but his favorite part is all of the animals.:)  Sweet boy.

Another part of Christmas that we've been talking about is Santa.  Last year Nolan walked by Santa, but that's about as close as we were going to get.  So this year I've been trying to get him to understand that you really want to talk to Santa because he will bring you a present if you are good.  Whenever I ask him what he wants Santa to bring him for Christmas he replies with the following: "Santa bring me purple race car and Gordon Express Cars".  Sounds great to me.  $25 later, Christmas is done!  Thanks Nolan for an easy list:)  Hopefully you'll be this easy when you're 15...I'll keep dreaming.

Going Private

I've decided to go private.  Monday is the day.  I guess my whole thing is I love being able to share pics and all the other fun stuff that goes with blogging, but I'm just bothered by the whole idea of people I don't even know seeing pictures of my kids and the places we go...Maybe Bobby's paranoia is rubbing off on me:)  Anyhow, Monday is the day.  We'll see what happens!

What do you think?

Recently I've had some great people find my blog...Hi Lisa!  Although I'm really happy that they've found it, it makes me wonder who is looking at my blog and doesn't comment.  Hmmm....I'm considering going private.  What could be so bad about going private?  What do you think?

Warning:  Baby poo discussion to follow...

I love my little Eli.  He is so much fun and so very smart.  It amazes me how smart babies are.  The last few weeks EVERY time I put Eli down for a nap he fusses about 5 minutes after I leave.  So, I go in to see if maybe he can't find his pacifier but to my great dismay a horrific smell hits me the second I walk through the door.  He has a dirty diaper.  Sometimes when I go to change it there's hardly any poo, but there's still poo (I warned you).  So I ask myself why I changed him before I put him down when I knew that this was going to happen.  I've read about the theory of some mothers insisting that their baby goes poop to avoid going to sleep.  I thought that this theory was ridiculous.  Would a baby really do that?  After the last few weeks I'm beginning to think that maybe some of these mothers aren't so crazy.  What could be another explanation?...Maybe they're really relaxed (again, I warned you).  I don't know.  What do you think?
